Saturday, March 9:
10am family hour at Greater Miller Memorial C.O.G.I.C, 4439 E. 9 Mile Rd, Warren, MI 48091; (opens in new window)
11am homegoing service; repass luncheon to follow.
Out-of-town travelers discounted hotel rates: Comfort Inn and Courtyard Marriott in Southfield, MI — ask for “Lila” rate.
Should you choose, the family is asking that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the newly renamed “Mother Edna Leaks and Mama Lila Cabbil Water Justice Fund.” Lila generously established it in October 2018 in her mother Edna Leak’s name who was another long-time water warrior. Family has decided that this fund should be used to support water programs and projects. Donations may be made at: http://peopleswaterboard.org/donate/
Finally, the family is planning to serve a repass luncheon following Saturday’s services. I’ve received questions from a few people asking how they can help with food or funds. The family will be catering the luncheon and said to convey their appreciation, in advance, for any financial contributions toward it.
